There is not a great deal of equipment needed to produce a newspaper but what I have used I feel I have used it well and correctly. The first is adobe Photoshop software, I must admit at first I was not totally comfortable using this software but towards the end of the project it became second nature to me. I used Photoshop for roughly 80% of my production. It was used to edit photos, create the front page, design my anchor logo, develop my inside page and design the layout for my automobile poster. The other type of equipment I used was a camera which I used over a few weeks to capture images that were needed to help create my project. The one main problem I had with the photos was creating enough light for the images to look clear enough but this only really occurred on my main cover image. The picture shown is the original image before any editing and cropping has taken place, and if you refer back to the finished item you will see things such as an attempt to back the image over all lighter and to very basic things such as cropping the photo so that the balloon’s on the right hand side can no longer be seen.

In terms of my subsidiary task I used garage band to create my radio advertisement. The main reason for me using this is that it was the only real thing available for me to us. Professional in the field of advertisement would probably use much to enhanced software rather then the basic programmes that come already uploaded to an Apple Mac, but for doing what I’ am it was ideal.
With my poster I used Photoshop to create and develop both the layout of it and once again edit the image of for it, the main bit of editing I had to carry out on the image was getting rid of the dirt on the bonnet, to eliminate this I used a tool on Photoshop that allowed me to copy and colour and place it over the area needed for improvement.
